Privacy Notice

Ownwork is a free app that helps independent skilled owners run their business: bookings, client records and a money book, with Oro, an AI business assistant. Ownwork is run by Ownwork Software Development Services, a business name registered with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (Business Name No. 8530487) and owned by Billy Joe Beato, who is also our Data Protection Officer. • You, the owner. For your account and business details, Ownwork decides how the data is used. We are the personal information controller.
• Your clients. Their details are yours. You decide what to record about them; Ownwork stores and processes it only to run your business for you. We are your personal information processor. You are responsible for telling your clients how you use their details.

From you, the owner:

• Your name, email, mobile number, and how you sign in (email code, SMS code or Google).
• Your business details: business name, services, prices, hours, rest days, service area, photos you add, your booking link, and your policies.
• Your GCash or bank details for down payments, if you add them. They are kept private and shown to a client only inside that client's own booking.
• Your money book: sales you mark, how you were paid, expenses, and receipt photos you snap.
• What you ask Oro, and what Oro suggests back.
• How you use the app (for example, screens opened and features used), so we can fix and improve it.

About your clients, when you or they enter it:

• Name and mobile number, bookings and requests, visits, services, notes you write, work photos you add, no-shows, and where they first found you.
• A down payment reference number or screenshot, if the client sends one for a booking.

We do not collect government ID numbers, and we never ask for passwords, PINs or one-time codes in chat.

• To run the app: your booking page, bookings, reminders, client records and money book.
• To send messages you turn on: booking confirmations and reminders to your clients by SMS, and alerts to you by push notification or email.
• To let Oro help you. Oro works only for you, inside the app. It never messages your clients, and it never changes a booking or your records without your Confirm.
• To keep Ownwork safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To improve Ownwork using counts and patterns, kept separate from your business records.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your clients' details to market to them.

Your booking page is public, so clients can find and book you. It shows what you choose to show: your business name, services, prices, hours, open slots, service area, photos and reviews. It never shows your home address. Your exact address goes only to a client whose booking you have confirmed. Search engines and AI search tools may read and show public booking pages.

Ownwork never holds, moves or splits money. Down payments go straight from your client to your own GCash or bank account. What the app records is only what you tap, such as "DP received". A booking confirmation is not an official receipt.

If you buy text credits, the payment is handled by our payment provider, PayMongo. We do not see or store full card or account numbers.

Some of these services process data outside the Philippines. We choose providers that protect data under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also share data when the law requires it.

We keep your data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your data from our live systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups expire on their own within 90 days. Some records may be kept longer only where the law requires it.

You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct it, to object to its processing, to have it erased or blocked, to get a copy you can take elsewhere, and to complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). You can download your data and delete your account in the app, or email privacy@ownworkai.com. We answer within 15 days.

If you are a client of an Ownwork owner, contact that owner first. You may also email us, and we will help.

We protect data with sign-in codes, access rules that keep each business's records apart, encryption in transit, and encrypted backups. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your data at real risk, we will tell you and the National Privacy Commission within 72 hours of knowing about it.

We use cookies the app needs to keep you signed in and safe. On our marketing pages only, we use an analytics cookie (Meta Pixel) only if you allow it in the cookie banner.

Ownwork accounts are for business owners aged 18 or older.

When we change this notice, we update the date above. If the change matters, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
